Before proceeding to flash bin firmware using PiranhaBox Tool, follow the preparation steps listed below for a smoother flashing process.
Preparation:
- If you are using an Antivirus application on your computer, disable it or uninstall it before following the instructions below.
- It is recommended to take a backup of your data, as flashing firmware wipes all the data on your device.
- Make sure your phone is sufficiently charged. It is recommended to set the device to at least 50-60% to perform the flashing process.
How to use PiranhaBox Tool to Flash bin Firmware
Step 1: Download and install the required Android USB Drivers on your computer. If you already have the suitable USB drivers installed for your device, then you can skip this step.
Step 2: Download Android Stock ROM (bin format) for your Android phone or tablet from here and extract it on to your computer.
Step 3: Download and extract the Piranha box Tool on your computer. After extracting, you will find the files, as shown in the image below.
Step 4: Now open the Piranha Box.exe file from the folder that you have extracted in Step #3.
Step 5: Once the PiranhaBox Tool launches, click on the “CHINESE TOOL” button.
Step 6: Now, under the Chinese Tools, you will see MTK Chipset Tool. Click on the Maximize button.
Step 7: Now, in MTK Chipset Tool, select the “Write” option.
Step 8: Now, click on the “Browse” button and locate the .bin firmware file that you have extracted in Step #2.
Step 9: Now, under Boot, select 8th Boot (mt65xx).
Step 10: Now select the USB Mode option.
Step 11: Now select cable name USB_(Cable&Mode).
Step 12: Now power off your phone and connect it to your computer.
Step 13: Now, click on the “Start” button to begin the flashing process.
Step 14: Once the flashing is completed, you will see a Green Pass message.
Step 15: Now close the PiranhaBox Tool, disconnect your Android device from the computer, and reboot it.
